She’s always had a natural love for clean, fresh spaces. Her journey into Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) began after working in salons, spas, gyms, and
community care – all environments where hygiene matters. But it wasn’t until she qualified as a Registered Nurse and began working in healthcare that she truly saw the dangers of hidden pathogens and poor cleaning practices.
Her passion for professional cleaning deepened when she moved into the property sector, running a successful serviced accommodation business. She knew first-hand how important it was to create not just clean-looking homes, but truly hygienic and safe spaces for guests.
With hands-on experience in the NHS and private healthcare, Dorothy worked closely with housekeeping teams – from service setup and staff training to auditing, risk assessments and quality checks. She saw that whether it’s a hospital, salon, Airbnb or
construction site, the standard should always be the same: excellent.
That’s why she founded QSIP – to bring clinical-level cleanliness to every setting.
Over time, Dorothy has worked across many sectors, including construction, where she leads deep post-build cleans that leave homes not only spotless, but safe and ready to live in. Again and again, she noticed the same issue: regular cleaners – often under
